ABOUT US German Rodeo Bulls is owned and operated by Gerald and Kara German, located 5 miles due SW of Peever in Northeastern SD. Gerald grew up on a cattle ranch owned by his dad Gerald "Smoky" German Sr. The German Family, starting with Gerald's father Smoky has been competing in rodeo since the late 1940's. So you can say that rodeo is in the blood. So being around rodeo all his life, Gerald has been influenced at an early age at what he wanted to do. Taking what he has learned from his Dad and his knowledge and love for the sport of Bull Riding, Gerald has turuned this fairly young company into one of the fastest growing and sought after stock contracting companies in the Upper Midwest. The German
Family plays an active role in producing Bull Ridings throughout the Upper
Midwest. Kara is the secretary at all of the events as well as taking
entries for each event. She also helps with the day to day operations
of the company from rounding up bulls to the sorting for each event. Kara
and Gerald have 3 kids, Megan, 15, Austin, 9, and Taylor, 6. Each of the
kids play a role in the company from hanging flanks to riding in the flag
for the National Anthem. The help at each event is all family. There are
several brothers and nephews, who all help prepare for each event by setting
up and tearing down the arena as well as helping sort and load stock. |
